On the 11th of August, 2022, the Alumnae Association organized a career day for the school graduating class, which was filled with insightful talk sessions that addressed various issues related to career choices and the challenges of life after school. The event was well-attended, with many students and teachers participating actively. it was a huge success, with the resource persons providing valuable insights and guidance to the graduating class on various issues related to career choices and the challenges of life after school. They provided practical tips, strategies, and advice that would help the students make informed decisions about their future and navigate the post-school environment effectively

Career choices and path

The first key event of the day was the talk session on career choices and paths. The resource persons, led by Chioma Odocha, shared their experiences and expertise with the students, guiding them on how to choose the right career path that would align with their interests, strengths, and aspirations. They discussed the importance of self-awareness, research, and planning in making career choices, and provided practical tips and tools that would help the students make informed decisions about their future.

Dealing with Peer pressure

The second key event of the day was the talk session on dealing with peer pressure. This session was facilitated by the Association Executive Committee members, who shared their personal experiences and insights on how to handle peer pressure effectively. They discussed the various forms of peer pressure that students might encounter, such as drug abuse, bullying, and academic dishonesty, and provided strategies and techniques for resisting negative influences and making positive choices.

Challenges of Life after school

The third key event of the day was the talk session on the challenges of life after school. This session was also facilitated by the Association Executive Committee members, who shared their experiences and insights on how to navigate the transition from school to the real world. They discussed the various challenges that students might face, such as unemployment, financial instability, and cultural shock, and provided advice and guidance on how to overcome these challenges and thrive in the post-school environment.
